Dr. Kennedy Ongaro is a Senior Lecturer of Community Development at Daystar University, School of Human and Social Sciences. He is a development researcher and entrepreneur involved in ensuring networking with NGOs in community development.
Education He has a BA in Community Development, MA in Community Development and a PhD in Community Development.

Dr. Ongaro has participated in various seminars and workshops which include a Participatory Rural Appraisal Methods training organized by the Participatory Rural Appraisal Units in collaboration with Farm Science Center (KVK) of the Ghandhigram Rural Institute, a national workshop on perspective in food security issues in Tamil Nadu and Karala, India where he presented a paper on the food scenario in Kenya and the 2nd International Conference on Environment and Health where he presented a poster on Deforestation and its impact- Ghandhigram University.
He also presented a paper entitled “Symposium on Recent Trends in crop improvement for sustainable development” at Bharathiandasan University, India. At the Inter-disciplinary International Conference Society, Politics, the Economy and the Environmental Implications for Social-Economic Progress in the 21st Century, he presented a paper entitled “A comparative analysis of Energy.”
