Daystar University has a library in each of its three campuses. Agape library, based at the Athi River Campus, has a seating capacity of 450 students, 250 at the Nairobi Campus and 30 in Mombasa. The library is automated using Sirs Mandarin software, whose modules are integrated, thereby creating a seamless interaction of services.
Mission The library aspires to establish and sustain creative and innovative information services in support of the university mission of teaching, learning, research, outreach and partnership in a globally dynamic Christian learning environment.
Collection The libraries have a stock holding of over 50,000 volumes of books in a wide range of subjects. These include core textbooks and supplementary texts. Academic journals, periodicals, government publications, research reports, theses, audio and video material and newspapers also form part of the collection. General Collection Books in the general collection are loaned for a period of two weeks. Registered patrons who include students, staff and faculty are eligible to borrow these books.
Reserve/ Short Loan Section The reserve section is closed access and is within the Circulation section. Books are borrowed for a period of two hours and are used within the library. Reserve books can be borrowed overnight and returned the following morning. Core texts are found in this section. Penalties are levied on defaulters as laid out in the university handbook.
Periodicals and Special Collection These include local and international academic peer reviewed journals, magazines, news papers, Theses, research reports as well as government and NGO's publications. The Section currently subscribes to more than 70 academic journals and magazines. It also houses more than 3000 volumes of bound periodicals and 2,000 reports.
Resource Sharing Daystar University library collaborates with like minded institutions in resource sharing. This enables the library to complement its diverse information resources through inter - library borrowing. Please liaise with the library for access to inter-library borrowing.

The university library subscribes to academic journals and
e-books in various disciplines through the Programme for the Enhancement of
Research Information (P.E.R.I.) programme as
well as open access databases.
Annual reviews publishes in authoritative reviews in 40
focused disciplines within the Biomedical, Life, Physical and Social Sciences.
Amongst the most highly cited in scientific literature, they are available
online and in print to individuals, institutions, and consortia worldwide.
Free or low-cost access to major scientific journals in agriculture and
related biological, environmental and social sciences for public academic
institutions in developing countries.
Project MUSE provides online access to
over 430 full-text journals from 70 publishers in humanities and social
science. MUSE pricing meets library needs around the world.
This is a package of electronic

(WDI) Online and Global Development Finance (GDF) Online.

global economy, Global Economic Monitor is a "one-stop shop" portal
for analysis of current economic trends, and economic and financial indicators.
Africa Development Indicators is the
premier data source on the African economy. It contains over 1,400 indicators
