Daystar University offers a number of academic scholarships., the largest one being the Work Study program. This was set up by the university and to which it contributes a portion of the tuition fees income every year. In return, students are required to work 10 hours a week.

The Work Study program is for needy students in their second, third or fourth year of study and accounts to a maximum of KSh 80,000 per year. The university also offers the Best Student Award, and an exclusive award given to students who score A or A-. Recipients are expected to maintain high grades throughout their study.
