African Journal of Clinical Psychology (AJCP) is a Journal of Daystar University, Kenya. It is the first Journal in Africa in the field of Clinical Psychology that employs both qualitative and quantitative research design methods in psychological intervention and applied research. AJCP is an open access, peer reviewed, non-profit making and scientifically focused. The Journal reviewers and editors, are highly experienced and qualified scholars and are committed to a thorough, rigorous and critical evaluation research articles or papers to ensure novelty and quality of each manuscript. Articles or papers are also scrutinized for plagiarism. Currently, AJCP is published bi-annually both online and in print.

The areas covered include: Developmental Disorders and Disabilities, Cognitive Disorders, Behavioral and Impulse Control Disorders, Substance-Related Disorders, Mood and Affective Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders, Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders, Eating Disorders, Personality Disorders, Attachment and Relationship Issues and Marital and Parenting Issues. AJCP articles and papers cover research articles, case studies, review papers, comparative studies and book reviews among others. We are accepting manuscripts related to the field of psychology from scholars, academicians, Masters and PhD students and corporates in respective areas of study expertise. AJCP welcomes articles from different institutions in Africa and the entire world.


AJCP is driven to facilitate the widest possible dissemination of high-quality research in Clinical Psychology in Africa, and beyond.
