DLPDI in outreach to Nakuru churches

[Nakuru: 14th July, 2026] The Daystar Leadership and Professional Development Institute (DLPDI), led by the Director Rev. Dr. Patrick Musembi and Deputy Director Mrs. Jane Irungu, joined the Nakuru Pastors Fellowship during their weekly Tuesday Encounter at K.A.G Church in Nakuru.

The fellowship, chaired by Rev. Joseph Njenga, brought together pastors and church leaders from Nakuru and neighboring regions for a time of worship, prayer, fellowship, and the Word.

With a rich history spanning more than 30 years, the Nakuru Pastors Fellowship has grown into one of the region’s most vibrant pastoral networks, bringing together over 300 member pastors united by a shared commitment to strengthening the Church through fellowship, collaboration, and mutual support.

Before joining the larger fellowship, the DLPDI team made a comprehensive presentation to the Fellowship’s leadership committee, highlighting different leadership and ministry programmes available for strengthening churches, developing leaders, and creating lasting partnerships for ministry growth.

DLPDI remains committed to equipping pastors, church leaders, and other ministry workers with practical knowledge, biblical leadership principles, and professional skills that strengthen both their personal calling and the ministries they lead.

Following the presentation to the committee, the DLPDI team joined the Tuesday Encounter Fellowship, where they were warmly welcomed by Rev. Njenga and given an opportunity to address the larger gathering of pastors and church leaders.

The DLPDI team highlighted several flagship programmes designed to address the unique needs of today’s church leaders.

Among these was Church Boom, a practical training designed to equip pastors and ministry leaders with strategies for church growth, leadership development, discipleship, and effective ministry, thereby enabling churches to expand sustainably while remaining healthy, vibrant, and grounded in biblical principles. 

The team also introduced CHANNAH, a transformational programme specifically developed for female clergy and women serving in ministry. Recognizing the vital role women play in advancing the Kingdom of God, CHANNAH empowers women with leadership, ministry, and personal development skills that enable them to serve confidently while making an even greater impact within their churches and communities.

Another key programme shared was Church Leadership and Governance, which focuses on strengthening leadership structures within churches. The training equips pastors and church leadership teams with practical knowledge on governance, strategic planning, accountability, policy development, and effective administration. By building strong leadership systems, churches are better positioned to fulfill their mission with integrity, order, and long-term sustainability.

The team also presented the Destiny EXCANS, a transformational programme designed for high school graduates seeking to clarify their long term career and life goals by exposing them to practical learning experiences that inspire them to dream, discover their talents, explore their purpose, and make informed decisions about their future. Through mentorship, leadership development, career guidance, and experiential learning, the EXCAN programme helps young people to build a strong foundation as they transition to the next phase of their lives.

The pastors responded positively to the opportunities shared, expressing a strong desire to continue learning and investing in leadership development. The Fellowship’s leadership committee also welcomed the programmes and expressed its eagerness to partner with DLPDI in making these opportunities accessible to pastors across Nakuru and neighboring counties. The training gave ministers the opportunity to build meaningful networks, receive mentorship, and walk alongside other leaders with a shared vision for ministry.

The engagement also created an avenue for meaningful conversations on the changing needs of ministry and the importance of continuous leadership development in equipping pastors to effectively shepherd their congregations in today’s dynamic environment.

During the fellowship, the DLPDI team reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to walking alongside pastors and church leaders by providing relevant, Christ-centred training that equips them for greater effectiveness and lasting impact.

Through its programmes, DLPDI continues to partner with churches across Kenya and beyond in raising leaders who transform their communities through faithful and effective ministry.

The visit to Nakuru formed part of DLPDI’s ongoing outreach to churches and ministry networks, ensuring that pastors and ministry leaders continue to access training opportunities that strengthen leadership, enhance ministry effectiveness, and ultimately contribute to the growth of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
