School of Nursing Receives Carnergie Scholar

Prof.  Adejoke Bolanle Ayoola

From 18th July to 7th August 2021, the School of Nursing will be hosting Prof. Adejoke Bolanle Ayoola, a Carnegie Scholar from Calvin University School of Nursing. She is a Professor of Nursing with specialty in Community Health Nursing and Reproductive Nursing (Midwifery). She is a member of the American Academy of Nursing a coveted position for a professional Nurse.

Prof. Ayoola is working with the Daystar University School of Nursing faculty and students in mentorship and Research in Community Health and Reproductive health Nursing. The long term plan is for a collaboration with the possibility of funding for a health project in the Clinical setting in Kajiado County.

On 16th May 2020, Prof. Ayoola was the main speaker at a webinar titled "Educating Nurses in an Online Environment: Lessons Learned" that was hosted by the Daystar University School of Nursing, Calvin University, School of Nursing and The Nairobi Hospital hospital School of Nursing.

The Carnegie fellowship is a first for the Daystar University School of Nursing, and gives the University visibility of providing Health related programmes.
