Memorandum of Understanding Between Daystar University, School of Nursing and Machakos County Government.
Daystar University today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Machakos County Government. Present was Dr. Ancent Kituku, Executive Committee Member for Health and Emergency Services accompanied by Dr. Ruth Muthama, Director Programs & Partnerships, Department of Health & Emergency Services.
The MoU allows Daystar University, School of Nursing students to do their practicum in over 200 health facilities spread across Machakos County. This comes at a time when the Machakos County government has received a Neurosurgeon and a Cardiologist from Cuba, this gives the students an opportunity to gain wider experience in the medical field. Machakos County Government is also set to benefit from the extra hands from the students and their lecturers which will add on to their work force and improve service delivery.
Prof. Laban Ayiro, Vice Chancellor Daystar University, assured his support for the School of Nursing to ensure Daystar University produces quality nurses with value system and skills that are required to improve the health system in Kenya and beyond.
