Hope in the midst of a Pandemic
2020 has been a year like no other. Nothing and no one could have prepared us for this. Fear has been given a new face and we have all been confronted with our humanity. Yet, the Lord has kept us in the midst of the storm.
I commend you for your resilience and perseverance to pursue your studies even in the most difficult of seasons, this outlines the depth of your character.
As you plan to be with family during this Christmas season, I wish you peace, I wish you rest and I wish you hope as we look forward to the New Year. Have a Merry Christmas.

Christmas Greetings to Staff and Faculty
As we break for Christmas festivities, let us take time to thank God for preserving us through a very difficult season over the world, our country and here at Daystar University. At personal levels we had our challenges BUT God stood for us and fought every battle directed towards us. He is Jehova Jireh. May the Lord bless you all as we take a few days to rest and freshen ourselves in readiness for the year 2021.
Your safety is our safety and our Joy; Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2021 full of Gods Favour and Grace.

Dr. Evans Amata – Dean School of Business and Economics
Dear SBE Students and Faculty,
Calvary greetings from the Office of the Dean.
We thank God for this far He has brought us. As we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I take this earliest opportunity to wish you a joyous festive season.
May the presence of Jesus in our heart stay true, and His blessings be always there to bring joy and celebration in our lives. Have a safe Merry Christmas, and a refreshing and promising new year 2021. May God bless you.

Dr. Martha W. Kiarie-Makara,
Dean School of Science, Engineering and Health
To the SSEH Students, Faculty and Staff,
Warmest greetings this festive season.
As we come to the end of the year 2020, may this Christmas season end the present year on a cheerful note. As we celebrate the birth of our Lord may we remember to be thankful for this far he has brought us. May the time we share with our families be joyous not because of the bounties that we have but because Christ in us makes all the difference. Continue to radiate the light of Christ in all situations. May God deal with each one of us as per Philippians 4:19: “supply all your needs whatever they are”. I take this opportunity to wish each one us a merry Christmas and a happy fruitful new year 2021.

On my own behalf and the entire staff and Faculty in the School of Arts and Humanities, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May our hearts be filed with joy, our mouths with laughter and our tongues with singing! As we look forward to 2021, may the New Year usher a season of restoration in heath, prosperity, and every lost ground. As a School, we look forward to scaling more audacious heights in scholarly endeavors and community service in the New Year.

Dean, School of Communication
Merry Christmas to the Students, Faculty and Staff in the School of Communication. Happy Christmas greetings to you all. What a time to reflect on the year that is passing on! In many ways there has never been one like it, and we pray that the challenges attending to this year may be history.
As we celebrate his birth two thousand years ago this month, nothing is more important than having a personal relationship with him, maintaining that relationship, and living in hope of his second coming. From the depth of my heart, I wish you an intense personal engagement with Christ this Christmas and in the years to come. Let us celebrate him.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Moni Wekesa

Jesus Christ, the Christmas Gift
Christmas season is here with us again. This is a season when the whole world celebrates God’s greatest, gracious act of love through His Son Jesus Christ. Our encouragement to the Daystar Family is that, as we celebrate this year’s Christmas, it is important to remember that Jesus came to the world as a gift of love and living Hope for a hopeless world.
He came to repair human brokenness caused by sin, and the purpose of that repair was to restore human dignity before God, so that we can resume our sonship status in His family.
May this Christmas fill your heart with God’s divine peace, everlasting joy, and free abundant eternal life through Jesus Christ.
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulders. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
The Chaplaincy family wishes us all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year 2021.

Message from the University Librarian to Students, Faculty, and Staff
As we come to the end of the semester, and indeed the year 2020, we give glory to God, for He has remained faithful and true to Daystar through a challenging year.
I also bring to your attention that we have extended the borrowing period for books that are out on loan (books that were not already due by 16th March 2020) to 31st January 2020. This means that you are not under pressure to return the books you have before you proceed for your Christmas break.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas Holiday as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ!

Dr. Paul Mbutu

Daystar University Family - May this holiday season bring with it tremendous joy for a spectacular festive season. Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year to you all!!
