Nathan Nayere Masambu

MA-Communication and Media Studies

Title and Responsibilities

Journalism lecturer in media studies, teaching news writing, reporting and editing for diploma to undergraduate students. I also teach news editing and multimedia production for MA classes. Besides, I supervise and examination at Masters level. 

I do represent the department of Film and Media studies as  the Media Hub Coordinator (Shine and  Involvement media)

Biography

I am a member of East Africa Communication Association (EACA).

I have been a practicing print media journalist from 1995 before switching to journalism teaching at university level from 2010. I began my career in journalism as a news correspondent for Daily Nation, a sub editor with the Kenya Times Media Trust, news reporter,  Bureau Chief for North Rift (Eldoret Bureau), a Business Editor, Education Editor, Supplements Editor, Business Projects Editor and a Chief  Sub Editor before resigning in 2010 to teach journalism in universities. I have taught at Presbyterian University of East Africa as a full time faculty before joining Daystar. I have taught as an adjunct lecturer at  MMU, KEMU,  Maasai Mara universities and Kenya Institute of mass Communication before joining Daystar.
