Dean’s Welcome Message

Welcome to the School of Communication

 

The School of Communication is the largest in the University, with approximately 50% of the total student population. The School takes great pride in its output of outstanding media personalities as well as top notch professionals in corporate communications, teaching and the performing arts. The preparation of our communication graduates is grounded on solid scholarship and an all rounded approach to education anchored on our sound biblical foundation and the liberal arts philosophy.

 

It takes pride in preparing students for leadership careers in communications, media, and in teaching and the performing arts. This preparation is grounded in solid scholarship and an all rounded approach to education anchored in our philosophy derived from our Christian orientation and biblical teachings.Today’s graduate of SC shares the same foundation that has distinguished us over the years and seen our alumni excel into prominence with careers in advertising and public relations, print and electronic journalism, as well as teaching and performance in music, theatre and writing.

 

The School has three departments namely:

 

  • Department of Language and Performing Arts
  • Department of Media and Film Studies
  • Department of Strategic and Organizational Communication
