We seek dynamic faculty members who will contribute to our mission of developing Christian servant leaders through rigorous research, teaching, and community engagement.

1. SCHOOL OF NURSING

Due to rapid expansion, the School of Nursing is seeking to employ qualified and experienced Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, and Clinical Nurse Educators, to augment the growth.

All programs shall adopt Hybrid (teaching online and face to face-to-face) teaching method; Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.

Senior Lecturers - 4 Positions

Purpose of the Job:

Contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research and mentoring students in line with the University guidelines.

Areas of Specialization:

  • Medical Surgical Nursing
  • Midwifery
  • Community Health Nursing
  • Nursing Education and Administration

Required Qualifications

  • Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited University.
  • Masters in either Midwifery and Reproductive health Nursing ( or Maternal and Neonatal Nursing), Medical and Surgical Nursing, Nursing Education or Community Health Nursing (or Advanced Practice Community Health Nursing) in addition to BSc Nursing from an accredited university
  • Possess a minimum of thirty two (32) publication, twenty four (24) of which must be from refereed journals points as a Senior Lecturer, with at least 32 referred scholarly journals.
  • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5) years post-PhD experience in teaching at university level or in research/ industry
  • Evidence of having supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion since last promotion.
  • Skills Lab Management experience
  • Evidence of engagement in continuing research.
  • Strong commitment to mentoring students and faculty in research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses
  • Evaluating students through continuous assessments and examinations
  • Mentoring of students in academic and spiritual nurture
  • Supervise graduate students in their research projects and dissertations
  • Conducting high quality research to enhance the scholarship, visibility and intellectual contribution of the University.
  • Engaging in curriculum and program review and development
  • Mobilizing resources and building bridges with industry
  • Implementing best practices in teaching, training and research for improved performance and achievements.
  • Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired university strategic goals

    Lecturers in Nursing - 15 Positions

    Purpose of the Job

    Contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by facilitating teaching and learning in the University and in the Clinical settings; mentoring students in value-based education.

    Areas of Specialization:

  • Medical Surgical Nursing
  • Midwifery
  • Nursing Education and Administration
  • Advanced Practice Nursing-Community Health Nursing Education and Administration

         Required Qualifications

  • Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited University.
  • Masters in either Midwifery and Reproductive health Nursing (or Maternal and Neonatal Nursing), Medical and Surgical Nursing , Nursing Education, or Community Health Nursing (or Advanced Practice Community Health Nursing) in addition to BSc Nursing from an accredited university in addition to BSc Nursing from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 24 publication points of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
  •  A Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya

       Required Experience:

  • At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research

  • Evidence of active participation in school/departmental activities or demonstrated leadership in university activities.

  • Ensuring consistent Christian behavior in line with the university's vision

    Clinical Nurse Educators - 8 Positions

    The purpose of the job

    Contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research and mentoring students in line with the University's guidelines in academic affairs to achieve overall objectives

    Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
  • MSc degree in Nursing is an added advantage )
  • Three (3) years Clinical experience since graduation.
  • Additional training or certification in the relevant area will be an added advantage.  
  • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Working Conditions:
  • Physical (face-to-face) Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in the clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitation of Teaching and learning in clinical and classroom practicum sessions in line with the curriculum.
  • Evaluating students through continuous assessments and examinations in skills lab and clinical setting.
  • Engaging in curriculum and program review to enhance best practice to integrate theory to practice through clinical instruction.
  • Mentoring of students in academic and spiritual nurture
  • Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired university strategic goals.  Ensuring consistent Christian behavior in line with the university's vision.

    Laboratory Technologist - 1 Position

    The purpose of the job :

    Management of Science and Biomedical laboratories to enhance the teaching of science, technology and innovation in line with policies, processes and procedures to achieve overall objective.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Lab Science.
  • Diploma in Medical Lab Science from an accredited KMTC
  • MSc Medical Lab Science Is an added advantage
  • Three (3) years Clinical experience since graduation.
  • Additional training or certification in the relevant area will be an added advantage.
  • Valid practicing license from relevant body

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing & setting up of equipment for use by faculty for teaching in the laboratories.
  • Training of students on the handling and use of laboratory equipment to ensure safety and security in the lab for both users and equipment.
  • Preparing practical session manuals and procedures in line with set standards.
  • Ensuring security and safety in the laboratories.
  • Requisition of laboratory equipment and inventory management.
  • Building of a specimen repository for the biomedical laboratories.Ensuring best practices in the management of science, technology and biomedical laboratories for improved performance and achievements.
  • Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired university plans and culture.
  • Ensuring Christian behaviour and appropriate behaviour both internal and external in line with the institutions vision.
     

    2. SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION

    The School of Communication is seeking to employ qualified and experienced Lecturers in the Department of Media and Film Studies and the Department of Strategic Organizational Communication (STOC)

    All programs shall adopt Hybrid (teaching online and face to face-to-face) teaching method learning: Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.

    LECTURERS — Department of Media and Film Studies — Two Positions
     

    Purpose of the Job:

    Contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research, and mentoring students in line with University guidelines.

    Required Qualifications — Lecturer Broadcast Media

  • Earned PhD in Media Studies or related area (or a Master's degree in relevant area in exceptional cases with experience) from an accredited University.
  • A minimum of 24 publication points of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
  • Registered with the relevant professional body

Required Experience:

  • At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research
  • Demonstration of teaching abilities in specific areas of Radio Production, Programme Scripting, Digital and Analog Studio Operations, and General Broadcast Journalism Practice
  • Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
  • Evidence of active participation in school/departmental activities or demonstrated leadership in university activities.

 

Required Qualifications — Lecturer Journalism and Media Studies

  • Earned PhD in Journalism and Media Studies or related area from an accredited University.
  • A minimum of 24 publication points of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
  • Registered with the relevant professional body

Required Experience:

  • At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research
  • Demonstration of teaching abilities in specific areas of Journalism Practice Journalism and Media concepts, as well as reporting and writing for media for various platforms: Print Media, Digital Media, Editing, Publishing and Design, Photojournalism, Creative Graphics, and Advertising. Specialised Journalism Fields, including Data Journalism.
  • Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
  • Evidence of active participation in school/departmental activities or demonstrated leadership in university activities.

 

Required Qualifications — Lecturer Public Relations

  • Earned PhD in Journalism and Media Studies or related area from an accredited University.
  • A minimum of 24 publication points of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
  • Registered with the relevant professional body

Required Experience:

  • At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research
  • Demonstrate teaching abilities in specific areas of public relations (digital public relations, visual public relations, Al and public relations, media relations, government public relations, and sports
  • Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
  • Evidence of active participation in school/departmental activities or demonstrated leadership in university activities.

Key Responsibilities For Lecturers:

  • Teaching and training of students in line with University policies, processes and procedures
  • Conducting quality research to enhance the scholarship, visibility and intellectual contribution of the University.
  • Evaluating students through continuous assessments and examinations
  • Engaging in curriculum and program review and development
