GRADUATE STUDIES
The Daystar University Charter recognizes research as an
integral part of the University’s mission, objectives, and
functions. The University aims at providing Christianbased higher education training and research for the
expansion of God’s Kingdom in Africa and the world.

Objectives of the Directorate
The key objectives of the DRGS are to:
- generate, store and disseminate knowledge for teaching, ministry and
development purposes
- encourage and support faculty to write proposals for funding.
- support faculty and students in data collection, analysis and writing of
research reports and papers.
- facilitate faculty to publish their research output as books, journal articles
and other formats.
- strengthen local and international research and consultancy networks
- continuously improve the capacity of faculty and students in the field of
research through relevant trainings
- support schools and departments in planning and hosting local and
international conferences.
- manage the University research grant

- Offer Research & Consultancy services
- Organize, (jointly), Conferences.
- Facilitate University’s publication
- Host Daystar University Ethical Review Board (DU-ERB)
- House Graduate Students
- Conduct workshops at Interuniversity Graduate Student Forums (Igsf)
