Prof. Kiarie further encouraged the Church leaders to go train their board members using the knowledge acquired from the workshop.

Prof. Waithima also advised the participants to use the knowledge they acquired to empower Church board members, so that weight is removed from them, through delegation of duties. He clarified that the Directorate carefully considers their training programmes before rolling them out so as to select programmes that meet expectations of the various participants.

“This is the first time DLPDI is offering training in Church Board Development, said Mrs. Jane Irungu, who also invited participants to sample other programmes offered by Directorate. On her part, the Public Relations Officer Ms. Jean Murungi called on the participants to be Daystar University ambassadors in their churches and communities.

Andrea urged fellow participants to share the knowledge acquired with others, while Pastor Mugwe called for more training in the future including Church planting among others.
