[Athi River Daystar, 10, 2026] Daystar University, through the School of Arts and Social Sciences will host this year's Diplomatic Day event on Wednesday 11th March 2026, from 9:00am - 2:30pm, at the University’s Main Campus, Athi River.
The theme for this year’s diplomatic Day is: Shared Perspectives on the Blue Economy, Maritime Security and Diplomacy: ASEAN, the Indian Ocean and Kenya.
The Keynote Speaker will be H.E. Mr. Tyas Witjaksono Adji, The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia.
Other diplomatic missions present will be the High Commissions of the Republics of Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the Embassies of the Republic of Philippines and Thailand, and other high level dignitaries
In attendance to host the dignitaries will be the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Laban Ayiro, Faculty in the School of Arts and Social Sciences, and International Relations and Security Studies students.
The event aims to expose students taking International Relations and Security Studies to the industry, provide exposure through meaningful engagement with diplomats, and scholars. Discussions will focus on contemporary global issues shaping peace, security and international relations, towards advancing the blue economy, maritime security, and diplomatic cooperation.
