Faculty Member Launches a Novel

[Nairobi: 11th July, 2026] Mr. John Mudegu, a faculty member in the School of Applied Human Sciences, launched his debut novel titled:  A Father for Adamba, at the Nairobi Club.

Daystar University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Laban Ayiro, was represented by the Director of the Directorate of Research, Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship (DRICE), Dr. Caroline Ayuya.

The launch was also graced by the former Chief Justice Dr. Justice Willy Mutunga, EGH, the Chief Executive Officer of Transparency International Kenya, Mr. George Morara, the General Overseer of Gospel Centres International Rev. Charles Kinusu Mulema, and members of the Daystar University community among them faculty, staff  and students.

In an interview with the Infospot, Mr. Mudegu said that A Father for Adamba explores the themes of fatherhood, identity, and forgiveness. The novel also delves into betrayal, crime, love, and the complexities of navigating social and professional life while remaining grounded in Christian values. He also noted that this is his inaugural novel.

The event marked a significant milestone in Mr. Mudegu's literary journey and underscored Daystar University's commitment to promoting scholarship, creativity, and intellectual engagement.

With more than 100 guests in attendance, the launch reflected the growing appreciation for literature that addresses contemporary social issues while inspiring positive values.

John Mudegu is an accomplished ghostwriter and blogger.  He has contributed book chapters in several publications and is passionate about leadership development.
