Enter Your Promised Land

pathIn Joshua 5: 6NIV, the Bible says Israelites had moved about in the wilderness forty years until all the men who were of military age when they left Egypt had died, since they had not obeyed the LORD. For the LORD had sworn to them that they would not see the land he had solemnly promised their ancestors to give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

When you hear of the Israelites journey from Egypt to the Promised Land what comes to your mind? This is a covenant God made with Abraham long before the journey. God promised Abraham a land flowing with milk and honey. It is said in today’s modern world that it would have only taken 10 or 11 days at most to reach Canaan from where they were. It took them 40 years to reach the Promised Land because they were not listening. How many times do we find ourselves in the 40 year duration, a journey of 10days just because we can’t listen up when God is talking to us?

finishWe have missed the exit to the good things God has in store for us because we can’t listen up. God did not give up on the Israelites and He did not give up on His promise no matter how bad their sense of direction was. If you have been struggling to get ahead for years, maybe you are just going about things the wrong way, maybe you are in 40 year mentality mode. God is not giving up on you. Be obedient to his word.

God has a promised land in store for all of His children and He wants to see you enter into that covenant. Your Canaan could be renewed marriage, your own salvation and that of your family, free from illness and other freedom you need as His will leads. God wants you to enter into your promised land today, don’t go round in the desert. Hear Him and obey.

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.Romans 10:17 NIV
