Planning and organizing and teaching students, for each assigned nursing course.
Evaluation of students through Continuous assessment tests as well as setting end –semester exams
Grading and giving feedback to students regarding their assignments and CATS at classroom as well as at clinical placements
Supervision and clinical teaching of students at various hospitals
Conduct clinical assessment and grading students’ performance at various clinical sites.
Supervision and guidance of students in developing research proposals.
Participating in departmental meetings such as moderation of exams as well as curriculum review
Collaboration and coordination of student’s activities to meet their individual objectives at various clinical areas as per the standards and requirements of Nursing Council of Kenya as well as the School of Nursing, Daystar
Invigilate the end –semester exams at SON, Daystar
Promptly reporting to Dean and Hod, SON,Daystar any concerns of students misconduct or any arising challenges in regard to nursing students
Biography
Iam glad to introduce myself as a passionate nurse. I love teaching and I graduated with master’s degree in critical care nursing at University of Nairobi in 2015 and it enhanced me with knowledge and skills to take care of patients who are critically ill.In 2000 ,I Graduated with Post –certificate BSc degree in nursing at Manipal Academy of higher education and in 1995 I graduated with Diploma in general nursing at Giffard memorial hospital ,India .I have worked in different organizations and have worked as a bedside nurse in different specialized areas such as cardiac theatre,General operation theatre and furthermore ,have worked as clinical instructor and as well as nurse educator and currently working as a Nursing lecturer for Day star .I hold membership for NNAK(National nurses of Kenya )and lifelong member of CMAI( Christian medical association of India).I have participated in invigilation of undergraduate Bsc nursing students for NCK(Nursing council of Kenya ).Moreover ,I have taken part in curriculum review for Higher diploma in Critical care Nursing at Nursing council of Kenya. I was presented with the certificate of appreciation during Nurses week in the year 2013, by DVC at University of East Africa Baraton (UEAB) ,I have taken active part in giving health talks at church organizations .I have also worked as a nurse volunteer in the year 2000 ,for Homeless children international for period of six months in Kenya
