I have over 22 years working experience in various capacities as a lecturer, consultant, a senior lecturer in community development, planning, Research, Gender, Advocacy and Networking, Resource Mobilization and Management, Strategies and Programmes for Community Development. I have been consulting and training teams in the areas of Programmes for community development, middle level management of Community Based Organizations (CBOs), NGO management and the church faith based organizational teams. I have offered consultancy on baseline survey and evaluation as feasibility studies, training teams on needs assessment, credit needs assessment, pre-investment evaluation programmes, gender- mainstreaming; strategic planning and organization governance structure in development of long –term plans, programme implementation, scheduling, developing project vision and mission statements, and logical frame work approach, development of policies and procedures for critical development programmes and constitution for CBOs and faith based organizations.
I have been teaching at the university since the year 2002, when I joined Daystar University as a Lecturer, and later Senior Lecturer in the year 2008.
I have taught on part time basis at Makerere University, Moi University, St. Pauls University and Baraton University between the years 2005 and 2018. Since the year 2008, I have been serving as the curriculum reviewer with the Kenya commission for University Education and the external examiner for: 1. Kenyatta University; 2. Kisii University; and 3. KBN College in India between 2008 and 2017. I have been the Head of Community Development Department from 2012 to 2016, and the Dean of the School of Human and Social Sciences from 2016 to the present.
