Biography

My objectives are: 

  • To be engaged in a position that will enable me to use my educational knowledge, professionalism, and abilities, my strong leadership skills, and ability to work well individually and with people to propel the mission and vision of Daystar University and beyond. 
  • To develop and establish a career in a favorable and challenging people-oriented environment, where I can  utilize my qualifications, knowledge, capabilities and experience for organizational growth; growth of people around me and for my personal growth. 
  • To be used of God to lead and serve in people’s lives, just as Jesus did on a one-on-one ministry, at the most individual level
  • Employ Excellent analytical, logical reasoning skills which give me competitive advantage to work with and influence positive outcome in different organizations I interact with. I also have the ability to multi-task without supervision. I am quick to learn new skills and competencies, able to lead or work effectively and efficiently within a group environment and alone

I am innovative, committed and dedicated to whatever I objectively set to do with integrity, ethical character, honesty and target, guided and motivated to excel in whatever I do by Godly principles 

Summary of my personal work and achievements are;

  • Enthusiastic Clinical Psychology professional with 16 years of classroom experience in higher education, both at public and private universities as well as 26 years of lecturing and clinical supervision in a  middle level Medical College
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in teaching. Research and published several scientific articles in peer reviewed journals,
  • Wrote a chapter in a best seller professional book on A to Z of mental Health,
  • involved in development of several academic programs for various learning institutions including Daystar University and participated in review of several others,
  • Attended and participated in several scientific conferences
  • Excellent student teacher evaluation and have been recognized as an excellent HOD for 2016-2018 through PC analysis
  • Supervised over 1 PhD to completion and others on going as well as  over 15 Masters students in their Thesis, excellent interpersonal skills; communication skills both in oral and in writing
  • Vice chairperson Daystar Ethics and Research Board from 2016 to date
  • Been appointed as an external Examiner in the Department on Psychology at Technical University of Kenya from 2017 to date
  • Been appointed as an external examiner for Thesis in USIU and PAC University from 2016 to date
  • Offered several psychoeducation lectures to the community, institutions and mentored several students in several schools in Kenya
  • Served the government through several ministerial appointments  which include;-  BOG Dagoretti high school- Feb. 2016 –on going, Director, Sugar Research Institute from, September 2012 to July 2014(dissolved due to ongoing Agricultural reforms) and  Member of Board of Governors, Limuru Girls from 2003 to 2013
