Biography

I have been a high school teacher of English in several schools for 14 years, a Kenya Science Diploma college English teacher, a Member of Kenya Secondary Schools English Panel at Kenya Institute of education, 1986 – 1997, Member of the Book Vetting Committee for Secondary schools English and literature: 1991 – 1997, Examiner with KNEC, Assistant Chief Examiner of Literature with KNEC-1986-1991, head of English Department in Upperhill 1986-1992, Senior Lecturer – Kenya Science Teachers

College: 1994 -1997, Member of Parliamentary Language Proficiency Bard. In Daystar, I have been Chairperson, Practicum Policy Committee, 2006, Ag.   2. .Investigation of the impact of the Advanced writing course in Daystar University (Collaborative with Prof. Oladipo, and Dr. Regina Gachari and funded by Daystar University
  3. An investigation of the impact of Charismatic churches in Kenya in 2012-Collaborative and funded by Daystar. 
  4. Digitisation of Oral Literature: data collected from the Chuka and Kamba Communities of Eastern Province that led to a paper on preserving the oral text digitally that was presented in a conference in Port Harcourt. (Done with Prof. Oladipo and funded by Daystar)
  5. Two Oral Literature researches in Kwale District of Coast  Province with Kenya Oral Literature  Association (KOLA) with members of KOLA
  6. The transmigration of the Oral text into the digital age from songs collected among some Kikuyu communities including some by Kamaru. With Prof Kuria. Yielded a website and a book chapter
