I teach courses for the Department of Theology & Pastoral Studies.
I teach courses for the Department of Peace and International Studies, since 2013.
University Chaplain | Daystar University | 2009 - 2022
I led the Chaplaincy Department at Daystar University.
I was responsible for providing the overall spiritual oversight for over 5,000 students and 300 staff, through spiritual nurture programs and pastoral care.

I coordinate the submission and administrative management of theses in the department.
I am currently supervising several Masters’ students.

DAYSTAR UNIVERSITY | 2020 - MA Diplomacy, Development, and International Security. My thesis was titled: “The role of Religion on Regional Integration: The Case of the East African Community, 2001-2016.”
UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI | 2007 - MA Religious Studies, My thesis was titled: “The On-Going Impact of the Akamba Traditional Religion and Philosophy on the Christian Conception of Death and Dying Among the Members of Africa Inland Church, Machakos District – Kenya.”

“Inculturation and Liberation as a Form of Religious Diplomacy in Reclaiming the African Identity” (Syengo & Kayeli, 2020), in the British International Journal of Education and Social Sciences Vol.7, No.7; July- 2020. This was co-writtenwith my second supervisor for the PhD thesis, Dr. Edith Kayeli.
“An Investigation of Blending Inculturation and Liberation approaches towards new Evangelization in Contemporary Africa” (Wachege & Syengo, 2018). This was co-written with my first supervisor for my PhD dissertation, Prof. P.N. Wachege.

“Survey on the Spiritual Nurture Programs of Daystar University.” This proposal was approved, and the survey was funded, conducted and concluded.
